[jira] Created: (OFBIZ-3830) jQuery Calendar Implementation

jQuery Calendar Implementation
------------------------------

                 Key: OFBIZ-3830
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OFBIZ-3830
             Project: OFBiz
          Issue Type: Sub-task
          Components: ALL APPLICATIONS
            Reporter: Sascha Rodekamp
         Attachments: images.zip, jquery.zip, OFBIZ-3830_calendar_update.patch

Hey, good morning,

here a few changes from the WE. I try to implement a new jQuery calendar. It's not totally done, yet. I didn't touch the FTLs were the calenar is called. But all calendar calls over the Macro renderer work.

I used the jQuery User Interface [http://jqueryui.com/] Calendar (so no licence problems) furthermore i added a plugin for the data pickin (GLP/MIT Licence too :-) [http://trentrichardson.com/examples/timepicker/]). The jQuery UI have some interessting widgets!!

For commit please copy the folder from the jquery.zip in the images/jquery folder. You should have images/jquery/ui and images/jquery/plugins.

Furthermore there are themes for the jQuery UI widgets. Which i have copied in the Theme CSS of ofbiz. The images.zip contains images which are needed by the jQuery widegts, i placed them in the image folder of each ofbiz Theme.
I think we have to decide if this is the right way to deal with th jQuery UI.

Cheers, hava good day
Sascha

[jira] Reopened: (OFBIZ-3830) jQuery Calendar Implementation

Jacques Le Roux reopened OFBIZ-3830:
------------------------------------

Hi Sascha, Erwan,

By default the calendar is not giving back the current time but (I guess) 00:00:00 and is not shown in the field. I think we should conform to current behaviour.

Also, I don't know if it's normal or not, but the lookups don't work (I guess it's a WIP...)

Sascha Rodekamp commented on OFBIZ-3830:
----------------------------------------

Hi Jacques,

you're right there is an issue with the returned time value.
Antoher bug in the Timepicker plugin is, when i switched to the next month the timepicker disapears and only the Datepicker is shown. I reported these bugs to the developer (he didn't answer me so far). So i think i will change the code on my own ... or may be someone else want to do this :-)

The lookups can't work i haven't changed them yet. I started yesterday working on this issue. There is a dialog widget in the jQuery UI Libary [http://jqueryui.com/demos/dialog/]. This first implementation was very easy an it works well. At the moment i'm testing and implementing the Lookup in Lookup issue.
I will open an extra Topic after i finished my first implementation proposel :-)

Have a good day

Thanks Sascha,

For the Timepicker issue, I think it's ok if we fix it and send it to the author. Unfortunately I have no time at the moment to help you, I may have more time in the 1st week of July, then again not much spare time for some weeks... (which is also a good thing if you think about it another way ;o)
