the problems are:
1. the box that sort of looks like a tick box does not do anything when clicked
2. clicking on DEMO_MACHINE adds a } on the end of the url (https://demo.ofbiz.org/accounting/control/EditFixedAsset?fixedAssetId=DEMO_MACHINE})

The button on the left is decorative - it is not meant to do anything on leaf nodes. In a larger tree, you would see expand/collapse (+/-) icons there.
