Before I settled on the final profiling configuration, I was running the profiler with the OOTB logging settings. The OOTB logging settings caused OFBiz to spend 17% of its time logging. By changing the logging settings to WARN and ERROR, that dropped to 0.09% (see line 103 in HotSpots_Rev_1464779.csv). Proof that the production setup guide should be followed.
