PAYPAL vs PAYFLOWPRO

I realize that PAYPAL vs. PAYFLOWPRO payment gateways are not the same and
actually

org.ofbiz.order.shoppingcart.CheckOutEvents.java#checkExternalCheckout
only returns "paypal" when actually the related paymentGatewayConfigTypeId
is "PAYFLOWPRO".

How can I use simple Paypal Express checkout defined on my (separate)
PaymentGateway cofnig with paymentGatewayConfigTypeId = PAYPAL ?

Bug, Jira etc: ? Or is the intention to deprecate PAYPAL and go for
PAYFLOWPRO rather than allow two different Paypal gateways ?
